Privacy Impact Assessment: Report on the Trans-Tasman criminal history information sharing trial

In January 2012 Prime Ministers Julia Gillard and John Key agreed to enhance the reciprocal sharing of criminal history information for vetting purposes between Australia and New Zealand. The Prime Ministers directed officials to plan a six month trial with Queensland to test how consistent and systematic requests for criminal history checks for vetting could be facilitated.
